Palm Sunday is next Sunday, 5th April 2020.   Fr. Frank O'Connor explains that Easter celebrations will be very different this year as we will not be physically gathering as a community. We can still gather and be united in Prayer through churches that are providing online streaming services.

Palms will be blessed on Palm Sunday which is the tradition but won’t be available to people at this time. Fr. Frank encourages us to get creative and use our imaginations to come up with some tangible objects to represent the Palm. This could be some greenery from the garden, you could draw and colour in a picture of a Palm at home or as Fr. Chris O'Donnell mentioned earlier in the week, “If Jesus was to enter Limerick today, we might not necessarily use Palms to welcome him, we would probably wave our Limerick, Munster and Ireland flags !”

Whatever tangible object you use to represent the Palm, use it as a focus for Prayer and maybe have it with you, if you are watching through the online streams to remind you of the beauty of this week.
